# How do I update Reach Control?

When a new version of Reach Control is available, the Update Available notification popup will appear in the Help panel in the bottom right corner of the software.

Selecting **View Update** will open the Update panel, which can also be accessed from the Tools menu (Settings \> Tools \> Update).

Toggle off **Automatically notify me of available updates** to stop the Update Available notification popup in the Help panel.

Select **Download** to download the installer. If the installer has previously been downloaded, the file path will be displayed. Select the path to view the installer in File Explorer.

Select **Install** to install the new version of the software. Follow the prompts in the installer window that appears.
